Duggan Morris Architects have been shortlisted in a two stage invited competition, for client ISIS. The project named Brentford Lock West, is for Phase 1 of a multi-phase regeneration scheme to provide over 500 residential units, along with a variety of commercial and retail uses to re-invigorate an industrial site on the fringe of the town centre. Duggan Morris Architects joined forces in a collaborative Stage 1 submission, with Karakusevic Carson Architects and Riches Hawley Mikhail, both multiple award winning practices, to form a dynamic design lead team for this challenging brief and site.
From the outset this collaboration of three small, emerging practices, has been working closely to develop a refined approach to the site (and Phase 1 competitions) masterplan, to achieve a genuinely shared proposal, one where individual buildings can actively contribute to our wider aspirations for Brentford Lock West.
The Stage 2 submission has been completed, with team interviews taking place in late August.
