Wildernesse Restaurant Site Progress
Installation of the CLT frame for the Wildernesse Restaurant is almost complete on site in Sevenoaks, by subcontractor Eurban. The restaurant pavilion is within the grounds of the Grade-II listed Wildernesse House, currently under development as part of a new extra-care community for PegasusLife.
The CLT arched bays define the open restaurant space, with its central double-height lantern, and will be spanned by timber vaults at high level. Externally, the timber structure will be wrapped in an arched metallic skin with large glazed openings. The building alludes to traditional, refined glasshouses and sits on a solid masonry plinth, with expansive views to the surrounding landscape. The project is due to complete in June 2017.
