It is intended with this scheme to enhance the setting of Hackney Road, through the design of an innovative and high quality residential scheme accommodating unit types identified in the local UDP.
With the Urban Task Force in mind, the scheme responds directly to the existing context adding new high quality units to the existing neighbourhood. Faced in a buff brick, the scheme is U shaped in plan, creating a hard urban edge to the street on three sides. The open side relates to an adjacent refurbished church, which encloses a central courtyard used for amenity, bicycle storage and access to ground floor units.
