Brand means everything to Gyro. In this respect, their new London headquarters needed to enforce the company brand and ethos, one of energy and transparency. Duggan Morris Architects set to develop a new architectural language of lightness and simplicity to offset and compliment the robust industrial character of the original building fabric; rough cast concrete ribbed slabs, gnarled and battered columns scrawled with setting out and level markings, never intended to be seen.

An open plan office arrangement was created, encouraging interaction between administrative and design departments. The office space is orientated around a single faceted corridor wall punctuated by black lacquered obelisks defining thresholds.

The key features of the project are large translucent pivoting screens enclosing the meeting spaces. Their scale and physical presence helps to articulate the office spaces creating a dramatic back drop for employees and visiting clients alike.
