The refurbishment of an existing common parts space generated a new programme and use strategy incorporating furniture, wayfinding and light installations.

The focus for the project was to develop a coherent circulation strategy over two levels, serving 19 B1 studio spaces. The design concept emerged out of the development of an architectural programme to create a central hub or meeting point. This space was punctuated by a large hanging backlit lantern within a double height void. The lining to this lantern is enlivened by a 360 degree full colour image transfer providing a strong focus for the space - illustration by Tundra Group.
